A. FLUFF TESTER (PATRA TYPE) is intended to determining the Uniting tendency of uncoated printing paper. The tester enables fluff to be measured easily after simulating the action of printing press using a dry blanket. It is based on the concept of PIRA. The tester is capable of giving reproducible results and the fluff build-up proceeds at a steady rate with a number of sheets.


B. FLUFF TESTER (GFL TYPE) It consists of two rollers rotating in contact under a known

pressure. One of the roller is covered with rubber blanket and other roller is made of chrome plated stainless steel with a doctor. Water bath moistened the steel roller. The fluff is transferred to stainless steel roll and washed off and recovered in the water
